Celeste Mitchell is a freelance travel journalist based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.

While she's crisscrossed the globe writing for Escape, Australian Traveller, Travel + Luxury (The Australian), Explore, QANTAS and more, she favours slow and sustainable travel.

In 2018, along with her two business partners, Celeste launched slow travel and living platform Life Unhurried and in 2020 added the curated accommodation directory, Slow Stays – the official edit of the world's best slow and sustainable accommodation. Their hardcover coffee table book, Life Unhurried, was published by Hardie Grant in September 2022.

She is currently working on her second book.
